LITTERING
There is so much litter around the world that it could cover 82,000 football feilds 6 feet deep! So, there are 220 million tons of litter in the USA alone!!
Littering is important because it is damaging the Earth. It damages the Earth because some littered items take a very long time to decompose. Which could lead to animals suffocating and then, dieing. Also, some litter can cause fires. Cigerette butts cause fires when not putted out properly.
There are a lot of ways to help. First, you can set an example for little kids. You can show them how to properly throw trash away and tell them how bad littering is. You could also pick trash up in your community and encourage the kids to help you. Second of all, you can just plainly don't litter.
